Conclusion of Question-and-Answer Session by the 15th National Assembly
After two-and-a-half days of productive discussions, the 15th National Assembly (NA) successfully concluded its question-and-answer session as part of the fifth sitting. In his closing statement, NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue acknowledged the valuable contributions made by the four ministers who addressed questions within their respective domains. Additionally, Deputy Prime Ministers Tran Hong Ha and Tran Luu Quang, along with the ministers of finance, planning and investment, and agriculture and rural development, provided further elucidation on matters pertaining to labor, invalids and social affairs, science and technology, transport, and ethnic affairs.
Deputy PM Le Minh Khai took the opportunity to clarify issues falling within the purview of the government's authority and offered responses to queries raised by deputies. With a total of 454 deputies registering for participation, 112 of them posed questions while 49 engaged in debates, as reported by the highest-ranking legislator.
Commending the performance of the Cabinet members during the Q&A session, Chairman Hue emphasized the importance of selecting pertinent issues for the agenda, ensuring that they align with the desires and expectations of the people and voters. He further recommended that the Government, ministries, and agencies collectively implement the proposed solutions discussed during the session, aiming to bring about meaningful changes in the areas addressed. Reports from the Government, ministries, and agencies should be submitted before July 15.
Looking ahead to the upcoming sitting scheduled for October this year, the legislative body plans to examine reports from Cabinet members, the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court, the Prosecutor General of Supreme People's Procuracy, the State Auditor General, and others who were questioned.
