The Rebels series has been censored. The Criminal Investigation Department has decided to put an end to the filming sessions. The reasons given, the content does not stick to our republican values according to the Direction of Cinematography. Yet this production of Marodi had made the rounds of social networks two months before its full broadcast.
In a letter addressed to the Marodi production house, the Cinematography Department requests the immediate cessation of filming and the withdrawal of the trailer from the Youtube channel, synonymous with a formal notice to the series "Rebelles - un Combat for unity”.
In a press release made public today, the production company Marodi Africa SAS informs public opinion that the DCI has laid off and plunged a team of young people into obscurity. The latter worked on this project with courage and selflessness according to the same source.
"This decision by the so-called Cinematography Department (DCI) thus condemns to technical unemployment the film crews of the production company Marodi Africa SAS who have worked tirelessly for more than a year (01) already on the project,” the statement read.
The document also notes that the trailer has not caused any disturbance to public order since it was posted on Youtube. The trailer, which has already been viewed by the public and hundreds of thousands of subscribers to its YouTube channel Marodi TV, has not caused any form of disorder, like its eighteen (18) productions.
According to the director, Thian Thiandoum contacted by Seneweb, several requests for filming authorization have been sent to the Cinematography Department. But she never answered all his requests. The production company Marodi Africa SAS intends to initiate a legal battle and does not intend to change the content of the series as the DCI wishes.
