Croatia’s Orqa Teams Up with Turkey's Baykar Technologies

Croatian technology company Orqa has announced a strategic partnership with Baykar Technologies, a prominent privately-owned Turkish defense firm, to enhance their technical capabilities in the drone sector. This collaboration was highlighted in a recent post on Orqa's LinkedIn profile, where the company expressed that the alliance between their multi-role multicopter (MRM) drones and Baykar's renowned Bayraktar TB2 unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is a natural progression.

While specific details regarding the collaboration remain undisclosed, reports from the Indian news portal DefenseMirror.com indicate that the Bayraktar TB2 UAV will be equipped to carry drones developed by Orqa. This agreement was formalized during a signing ceremony held in Istanbul on October 30.

The Bayraktar TB2 is a well-regarded unmanned combat aerial vehicle known for its versatility and effectiveness in both remote-controlled and autonomous flight operations. Manufactured by Baykar Makina Sanayi ve Ticaret, the TB2 is primarily utilized by the Turkish Armed Forces and has gained international recognition for its operational success in various conflicts.

Founded in 2018, Orqa specializes in designing and manufacturing components for drones, with a strong focus on low-latency video systems and next-generation virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) headsets.
