Dušan Miklja's New Book - "Gallery: Closed due to Census" Now Available
The renowned travel writer Dušan Miklja has released a new book titled "Gallery: Closed due to Census," published by Vulkan. This latest work stands out in Miklja's extensive literary collection, serving as a metaphor for the storyteller's memory and imagination, where words and images seamlessly merge, bridging the past and present, the real and the imagined.
Exploring the Gallery:
Upon entering the Gallery, readers will first encounter the gallerist, who has meticulously curated the exhibition. The gallerist guides visitors through the gallery space, pausing before each painting to explain its content, the context of its creation, and its significance within the Gallery. The exhibition features a diverse array of portraits of rulers, significant historical figures, and artists, as well as depictions of distant and exotic landscapes, scenes of everyday life, and their intrinsic beauty. The exhibition is enriched with sensory details such as smells, tastes, music, and laughter, making it a unique and comprehensive experience that seems almost boundless, as if the gallerist aimed to include every moment he has seen, heard, experienced, and felt.
A Reflection on Life:
Ultimately, "Gallery: Closed due to Census" invites readers to contemplate their own lives and consider how they might be depicted on a painter's canvas. Would it be a standard exhibition or something extraordinary like the one presented in this book?
