Emil Pà©rez: "This medal goes to all of Venezuela"
The flag bearer Emil Pérez dedicated his first triumph of the 2022 South American Youth Games to the entire country, "this medal goes to Venezuela."
The swimmer issued a statement after coming in first place in the final of the 100-meter freestyle.
The 17-year-old thanked his parents and all the people who supported him, motivation enough to reach gold on the first day of the third edition of the games.
The man from Caracas still lacks competitions to appear in Rosario, among them the 50-meter freestyle, butterfly style in 50 and 100 meters.
For this Thursday the Venezuelan delegation went up to the podium to receive the bronze medal in the mixed 4×100 with a time of 3:44:37. María Yegres, Mariana Cote, Emil Pérez and Reymer Álvarez were the athletes involved in this victory. Read More…
