Ensor's Binche Carnival bought thanks to art security tokens
Antwerp’s fine arts museum, the KMSKA, reopens in September following a decade of renovation work. Today the museum unveiled its first new work: “Binche Carnival” by Ostend master James Ensor. The museum was able to purchase this work from the painter’s late period thanks to the system of art security tokens, which allows members of the public to contribute by buying virtual shares in the work.
