Beautiful scenes of Vietnam and its people can be seen in the first official trailer of the movie "Tourist's Guide to Love".
This is the first foreign film shot in Vietnam after the Covid-19 pandemic.
After an unexpected breakup, a travel expert (Rachael Leigh Cook) decides to join a project to learn about Vietnam's tourism industry. It takes her on an adventurous and romantic journey with a Vietnamese tour guide (Scott Ly). They decide to change the journey of the tour bus to discover life and love.
The screenplay was written by Vietnamese-American screenwriter Eirene Donohue, inspired by her own travels while discovering her roots. Directed by Steven Tsuchida, the film, says producer and actress Rachael Leigh Cook, sends Vietnam a compelling love letter with heart and humor.
The movie was filmed at five prominent tourist sites in Hanoi, Hoi An, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, and Ha Giang.
The crowded streets in Hanoi, the ancient Temple of Literature, the bustling Ben Thanh market in HCM City, the quiet My Son Sanctuary and boats on the Hoai River in Hoi An on a full moon night appear in the first 2-minute trailer of the film.
The film received advice from Vietnamese-American actor Dustin Nguyen, and stars Vietnamese and international actors including Rachael Leigh Cook, Scott Ly, Meritorious Artist Le Thien, Missi Pyle, Ben Feldman, Glynn Sweet, Alexa Povah, Jacqueline Correa, Nondumiso Tembe, Andrew Barth Feldman, Morgan Dudley, and Quinn Truc Tran.
