Frédéric Genta Takes the Reins at Azura Partners Europe
Frédéric Genta, Monaco’s former Secretary of Attractiveness, Development, and Digital Transition, has officially joined Azura Partners, a wealth management firm that manages nearly $5 billion in assets. On March 31, Azura Partners announced Genta's appointment as Chairman and Regional Head for Europe, where he will oversee the firm’s European operations and drive its expansion across the continent.
At 44 years old, Genta is not only the son of the late Gérald Genta, the renowned watchmaker behind iconic timepieces like the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak and Patek Philippe Nautilus, but he also brings a wealth of experience from his previous roles in both government and the private sector. Since 2018, he has been instrumental in promoting the attractiveness and digital transformation of the Principality of Monaco.
A dual citizen of Monaco and Switzerland, Genta is a graduate of Harvard Business School and has held significant positions at major technology companies, including Google and Amazon, where he led commercial operations in France and the United States. His diverse background also includes experience in finance and telecommunications.
In a statement on LinkedIn, Genta expressed his enthusiasm for joining Azura Partners, stating, “I’m honored to join Azura Partners and thrilled to return to the private sector with a firm that reflects my aspirations of excellence, innovation, and long-term impact.” He emphasized his commitment to shaping Azura’s European strategy and accelerating its growth while collaborating with leaders across the continent.
Founded in 2019 by Ali Jamal, a former head of Julius Baer Group Ltd., Azura Partners has seen remarkable growth since its inception. The firm has expanded its assets under management from approximately $2 billion to nearly $5 billion, reflecting a strong demand for wealth management services.
This appointment comes amid a broader trend of wealth management firms establishing a presence in Monaco, drawn by the favorable tax environment, including the absence of capital gains and personal income taxes.
In addition to Genta’s appointment, Anne Torrel Izrael has also joined Azura’s Monaco team as the European Head of Client and Business Development, bringing her experience as a senior private banker at Pictet. With a growing team of 60 professionals across key global cities—including Monaco, London, Geneva, Dubai, Singapore, New York, and Miami—Azura Partners is poised to continue its strategic expansion, serving visionary entrepreneurs, wealthy families, and institutions.
Frédéric Genta’s transition to Azura Partners marks a significant step in his career and highlights the firm’s commitment to expanding its influence in the European wealth management landscape. With his extensive experience and vision for growth, Genta is set to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Azura Partners in Europe.
