Get your ark ready: It may be about to rain for 40 days and nights
Get your arks out, it’s going to rain for the next 40 days and 40 nights.
That’s if you believe the myth of St Swithin’s, of course, which states that if it rains on July 15, wet weather will persist.
But if you believe the Met Office, that’s not true and today’s wet weather is going to be short-lived.
Phew!
There are showers expected across much of the country but it’s expected to improve.
It looks like we’ll see highs of 23C in southern England and up to 18C in Scotland.
Tomorrow looks a little warmer before the weather cools again to around 21C for the weekend with cloudy skies.
