Both gold and silver are trading on the lower side of the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) on Wednesday, April 6, 2022.
Witnessing a marginal drop of Rs 30 or 0.06 per cent, gold futures maturing on June 3, 2022, are retailing at Rs 51,428 per 10 grams on the MCX.
Meanwhile, the rates for silver futures maturing on May 5, 2022, stood at Rs 66,237 per kg, recording a drop of 0.41 per cent or Rs 273.
Notably, the prices of gold and silver stood at Rs 51,371 per 10 grams and Rs 66,198 per kg respectively when the market closed on April 5.
GOLD AND SILVER PRICES ON THE INTERNATIONAL MARKET
As per Reuters, gold eased on Wednesday as hawkish comments from U.S. Federal Reserve officials boosted the dollar and Treasury yields to multi-year highs, denting the safe-haven metal's appeal.
As per the latest metal report, spot gold was down 0.2 percent at $1,920.87 per ounce. Meanwhile, U.S. gold futures fell 0.3 percent to $1,920.90.
In addition to this, spot silver edged 0.1 percent lower to $24.28 per ounce, among other metals.
