Greek alternative metal band Vonavibe release "Left for Dead" music video
Greek alternative metal band Vonavibe premiered the music video for their latest single, "Left for Dead," today.
The captivating visual, directed by Peggy Psarrou, can be enjoyed below. Dyon, the vocalist and guitarist of the band, shared his thoughts on the single and its accompanying video:
"The environment and humanity's impact on it has long been pressing concerns, particularly among artists. Considering the song's thematic content, we embarked on a quest to find a setting that could encapsulate this narrative. That's when the concept of filming the video within a home came to fruition. A home holds a sacred significance, much like our planet. By taking it and transfiguring it into something cold, with the assistance of our friends, we achieved the perfect metaphor. 'Left For Dead' delves into Earth's perspective on human actions—how humans have assumed control over a place, a planet, a home, and voraciously depleted its resources."
The video, rich in metaphors, serves as a vivid representation. Vonavibe symbolizes humanity, while Grandma embodies the Earth, and the house represents its habitat. Vonavibe takes over and transforms it into something eerie and otherworldly, occasionally punctuated by flickers of light. Yet, the Earth remains serene, perhaps sipping a cup of tea, aware that regardless of circumstances, it will always endure. Humans are merely temporary guests..."
"Left For Dead" is featured on Vonavibe's latest studio album, Bleed to Life, available now through Eclipse Records.
