Harmonize retaliates against Jaguar's comparison of wealth
Harmonize's counterattack backfired as his choice of words was widely misunderstood by many users on social media.
Just hours after singer Akothee criticized Jaguar for claiming to be wealthier than her, Tanzanian star Harmonize also addressed the 'Kigeukegeu' singer, asserting that Harmonize is nowhere near his level of wealth.
Jaguar claimed that if one were to examine the list, he had been in the industry for over 15 years and Harmonize was ranked at the top. Nevertheless, he confidently declared that Akothee had surpassed him and he could quit music that very day.
"If you scrutinize that list, I have been in this industry for more than 15 years and you see Harmonize at the pinnacle, but I can solemnly swear here that someone like Akothee has outperformed me, and I could retire from music today," said Jaguar.
However, Harmonize's response captured the attention of social media users who pointed out his poor command of the English language.
In his retort, Harmonize stated that if he were Jaguar, he would have already retired from music. He also refuted Jaguar's claim by mentioning the former Tanzanian president, Magufuli. However, Harmonize's message was deemed grammatically incorrect and bewildering.
Akothee was the first to confront Jaguar, questioning where he obtained the information that he was wealthier than her.
"Most celebrities/musicians venture into politics to amass wealth and maintain influence, not to help the ordinary citizen or transform the economy. It pleases you when people pursue you," Akothee wrote.
She further emphasized that only Eric Omondi, a fellow celebrity, is allowed to mention her name. Akothee made it crystal clear that anyone with 3.5 million followers on Instagram should refrain from mentioning her name.
