The UK Government has issued travel warnings for the four countries
The UK Foreign Office has updated its travel advice for Turkey, France, Egypt and Indonesia with warnings about everything from strike action to a recent terrorist attack. The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) has issued safety and security warnings this month to anyone hoping to travel to one of the four countries.
FCDO travel advice provides British nationals with the latest up-to-date information about travel to different countries, so they can make informed travel decisions. The department advises on coronavirus, terrorism, safety and security, local laws and customs, entry requirements, health, natural disasters and money.
If the situation regarding one of these factors changes in a country the FCDO will update its travel advice. Between January 6 and January 18, updates were made to travel advice for Turkey, France, Egypt and Indonesia as situations including military activity, political demonstrations and an erupting volcano have raised the risks for tourists.
