How to Enable Dark Mode on Snapchat
Lots of social media applications today have a dark mode (sometimes called “night mode”) option a feature that the majority like to have run not only just on their mobile apps but overall phone settings. Let’s talk about Snapchat — it uses a light mode by default, even if your phone is using dark mode for the overall phone setting.
For now, going into the dark mode on Snapchat is only available for iPhone users [sorry Android] and it’s easy to change to the Snapchat dark mode in just a few steps as we are going to show you in this article.
Here’s how:
1. Open your Snapchat app, and tap the profile icon (Bitmoji) at the top left.
2. Press the gear icon (Settings) at the top right.
3. Select App Appearance from the list.
4. Choose Always Dark. Now your Snapchat is in the dark mode setting and you can do the reverse in case you want to go back to the light mode.
Dark mode on Android
While Snapchat hasn’t released dark mode for android, some users may have the feature (beta mode) based on their location. The alternative solution involves turning on “Android developer mode” and using “Settings” to force Dark Mode onto Snapchat and all other apps.
