Huawei to Train Peruvian Citizens in AI Technology
Huawei has entered into a significant agreement with Peru to enhance the nation's expertise in artificial intelligence (AI) technology. Under this collaboration, Huawei will train thousands of Peruvian citizens in the latest AI advancements and demonstrate how these technologies can be applied across various sectors.
Peruvian President Dina Boluarte, during her recent visit to Huawei's headquarters, discussed the potential of AI technology and explored opportunities for increased investment and support from China. A key outcome of this visit was the signing of a deal with Huawei to train 20,000 young Peruvians in AI. This initiative will target a diverse group, including women, professionals, and entrepreneurs from small to medium-sized enterprises.
President Boluarte expressed optimism that this collaboration would lead to greater investment and stronger ties between Peru and China. The partnership is expected to benefit several critical areas in Peru, including infrastructure, digitalization, AI, clean energy, and overall bilateral relations.
In addition to AI, President Boluarte also expressed interest in discussing electric vehicles (EVs) with Huawei. She hopes to establish a dedicated EV manufacturing plant in Peru, furthering the country's commitment to modernizing its technological landscape and promoting sustainable development.
