Renowned Bangladeshi actress Jaya Ahsan won the Best Actress award in the popular category at the 5th Joy Filmfare Awards (Bangla) for her performance in Atanu Ghosh's "Binisutoy". The winners were announced at a ceremony in Kolkata on March 17.
This is the Jaya Ahsan's third Filmfare award. She won the Best Actress (Critics) award in the 2021 iteration of the event, for her efforts in "Bijoya" and "Robibar". In 2018, she won the Best Actress award in the popular category for her performance in "Bishorjon".
In addition, Atanu Ghosh won the critics' award for Best Film at the 5th Joy Filmfare Awards (Bangla) for "Binisutoy".
