Airtel and Jio are aiming to deploy their 5G services across significant India cities by the end of 2023.
It has been around six months since the launch of 5G services in India. The new generation of network connectivity was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the India Mobile Congress on October 1, 2022. While India plans to offer 5G through all of its prominent network providers, whether public or private, currently only Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio are the two telecom operators that offer 5G networks in the country.
Both the telcos are deploying their 5G networks across the country at a rapid pace and plan to reach out to all the significant cities of the country by the end of 2023. Within the last 6 months, both Jio and Airtel have reached around 500 cities with their 5G network and are offering 5G services free of cost.

Dubbed as Jio True 5G, Jio has launched its 5G services in around 406 Indian cities spanning across 32 States and UTs.
