Madeira amends the 2022 Regional Budget
The Regional Government of Madeira has amended the 2022 Regional Budget, due to the recent approval of the State Budget.
The amendment to the Regional Budget has already been delivered by the regional secretary for Finance, Rogério Gouveia, to the president of the Legislative Assembly of Madeira, José Manuel Rodrigues.
The official stressed that the changes introduced to the Individual Income Tax Code (CIRS) will allow for the continuation of tax relief, from the third level, through a new IRS table, “with an estimated impact of 8.6 million euros, which is increased by two million euros as a result of the expansion of tiers”.
Rogério Gouveia also said that regarding the IRC rates and the regional surcharge regime, “the measures contained are still being consolidated, eliminating their transitory nature until the approval of the State Budget for 2022. a tax regime, in terms of corporate income tax, for companies in the most disadvantaged counties in the region”.
This amendment to the Regional Budget also served to “adopt measures to mitigate the effects of the conflict and the consequences of the energy crisis” caused by the war between Russia and Ukraine. Read More…
