Minedu warns that Congress intends to repeal without debate the decree on Teacher Spill
The Ministry of Education (Minedu) warned tonight that Bill 2601, which proposes to repeal Supreme Decree 009-2022, has been included on the agenda of the plenary session of Congress tomorrow, Monday, August 29 -MINEDU, by means of which the Statute of the Teacher Spill was modified to democratize its institutional management.
The Popular Force initiative is based on the fact that the Teachers' Spill is a private entity and that the Minedu cannot modify its statute.
Faced with this, the Minedu expresses in a statement its "surprise and concern, to the extent that said project has not been previously examined in the Education Commission of Congress."
Likewise, it ratifies that the Minedu “is fully empowered to modify said Statute, as indicated in article 3 of Supreme Decree 021-88-ED, which has been ratified by the Constitutional Court in the sentence handed down in File 9231- 2005- PA/TC dated August 28, 2006”.
“Consequently, we respectfully request the Congress of the Republic that the aforementioned project be debated within the Education Commission, so that public opinion can learn about and weigh the arguments that justify the issuance of Supreme Decree 009-2022- MINEDU, which does not violate any constitutional or legal norm", says the document.
