Choplife Gaming, chaired by Afrobeats star Oluwatosin ‘Mr Eazi’ Ajibade, has finalized a four-year licensing agreement with pawaTech Group, a leading gaming technology company. This partnership aims to elevate pawaTech Group’s brand, betPawa, recognized as Africa’s premier sports betting brand, in one of the continent’s most competitive markets—Nigeria.
This agreement builds on a successful collaboration that has already seen betPawa establish a strong presence in several African markets, including Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Benin, and Ghana, where Choplife Gaming serves as the exclusive licensee. By acquiring rights to the Nigerian market, Choplife Gaming is reinforcing its commitment to driving innovation and excellence in the gaming sector through an upfront license fee model.
The agreement extends beyond Nigeria, as Choplife Gaming has also renewed the license fee model across all five existing markets for an additional four years. This expansion brings the operational reach of the betPawa brand to a total of six countries, enhancing its footprint across the continent.
