Museum of Sacred Art Exhibition of French Art
French Perspectives, the title of the temporary exhibition currently open at the Museum of Sacred Art of the Nicolás Darío Latourrette Bo Foundation, located at the corner of Manuel Domínguez and Paraguarí. This exhibition is accessible to the public from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. until Wednesday, July 17.
The exhibition showcases a collection of invaluable French artworks, most of which have never been displayed in Paraguay before. These pieces are part of the Private Collection of Nicolás Darío Latourrette Bo and include portraits, sculptures, and applied arts, covering a period from the Renaissance to Modernity.
Luis Lataza, director of the Museum of Sacred Art, highlighted the significance of this collection. "The richness and variety of the Private Collection of Nicolás Darío Latourrette Bo, unique in our country, allows us today to present this brief account of the enormous influence that the French nation has had on universal art," he told ÚH.
Organized by the Museum of Sacred Art in honor of the French Republic's national holiday celebrations, the exhibition features a curated selection of portraits, sculptures, furniture, luxury items, and applied arts. These pieces are grouped by art historical periods and include brief descriptions of the social and cultural factors that have shaped the French way of life over the centuries.
This unique exhibition offers a rare opportunity to experience the breadth and depth of French art, reflecting its profound impact on global art history.
