Netflix increases prices in Austria
Netflix has announced a price increase for its subscription plans in Austria. The cost for all subscription tiers will rise, with the basic subscription increasing from €7.99 to €8.99 per month, the standard subscription going up from €12.99 to €13.99, and the premium subscription now costing €19.99 per month, up from €17.99.
These new prices are effective immediately for new customers, while existing customers will be informed individually starting this week. They will have 30 days to either accept the new prices, choose a different plan, or cancel their subscription.
The last price increase in Austria occurred in August 2020. Despite the increase in subscription prices, the cost for additional members, which currently stands at €4.99 per month, remains unchanged. The features of each subscription model also remain the same, with the basic plan allowing streaming on one device in standard definition, the standard plan offering HD resolution and access on two devices, and the premium plan providing Ultra HD and HDR content on up to four devices simultaneously.
