Nguyễn Văn Chung Unveils Innovative Online Music Initiative for Kids
Nguyễn Văn Chung, a renowned composer from HCM City, is set to launch an exciting online music initiative for children and teenagers later this month. The project, titled "We Learn Singing" or "Cùng Con Tập Hát," aims to inspire parents and their young ones, aged 3 to 13, to explore the world of singing.
Through this project, Chung and his team will create and release a series of 300 videos on YouTube, showcasing his delightful collection of songs specifically crafted for children. Each video will feature a talented singer who will not only perform the song but also provide guidance on how to sing it.
Chung, with his impressive 20 years of industry experience, believes that his project will serve as a valuable opportunity for participants, particularly those residing in remote provinces, to learn how to sing and cultivate their passion for music. His dedication to incorporating life lessons and family values into children's songs has been evident throughout his career.
In 2017, Chung published his first songbook for children, titled "100 Songs for Children." Following seven years of meticulous work, he released his second songbook in 2020, comprising a collection of 300 popular children's songs. The book includes enchanting illustrations and sheet music to facilitate young readers in learning how to sing and play musical instruments.
To further enhance the experience, the book comes with a CD featuring the voices of renowned child singers such as Bào Ngư and Bảo Ngọc, as well as talented students from music clubs at cultural houses for children in the city.
Nguyễn Văn Chung embarked on his musical journey in 2003, blending pop and R&B genres with Vietnamese folk elements. He has crafted numerous love ballads, including chart-topping hits like "Tears of the Moon" (Vầng Trăng Khóc) and "Beautiful Scarf" (Chiếc Khăn Gió Ấm). However, he gained particular recognition for his heartfelt song for children, "Mom's Diary" (Nhật Ký Của Mẹ), which celebrates a mother's unconditional love and was released in 2011.
