Norway's Progress Party demands an investigation into the government's management of the pandemic
“Of course, it is not easy to handle a pandemic, but the decisions that are made have major consequences. I think it is obvious that this must be investigated,” FRP’s health policy spokesperson Bård Hoksrud told NTB.
He pointed out that several of the measures the government has introduced have not been substantiated by professional councils.
“After all, it is a question of people’s freedom and jobs. Now I think the Corona Commission must investigate the pandemic management by the red-greens,” Hoksrud said.
Proposal
Via a proposal in the Norwegian parliament (Storting), the FRP now wants to ask the Corona Commission to review the pandemic management from October.
In January, the newspaper Aftenposten wrote that the Støre government’s pandemic handling would not be investigated by the Corona Commission, as the Commission has decided to set a deadline for its work – October 31, 2021.
