President Bernardo Arévalo Implements Cabinet Changes to Enhance Government Efficiency
President Bernardo Arévalo, in a press conference on Monday, July 15, announced several strategic changes within his Government Cabinet to enhance the efficiency of his administration. These changes affect key positions within the National Commission Against Corruption (CNCC), the Secretariat of Social Communication of the Presidency (SCSP), and the Ministry of Public Health and Social Assistance (MSPAS).
Among the significant changes, Arévalo has appointed new leaders to pivotal roles to streamline government actions and improve performance.
Executive Management of CNCC
Santiago Palomo previously the executive director of the CNCC, Palomo has been recognized for his "excellent work" in combating corruption.
Secretariat of Social Communication of the Presidency (SCSP)
In addition to his role at the CNCC, Palomo will now head the SCSP, replacing Haroldo Sánchez, who has been assigned an advisory role related to commemorative issues and special events. This decision leverages Palomo’s extensive experience, including his previous role heading the communications unit of the Constitutional Court (CC).
Ministry of Public Health and Social Assistance (MSPAS)
