Presight and Colombia Forge Strategic Partnership to Enhance AI and Big Data Collaboration
Presight, a prominent big data analytics company in the Middle East, has partnered with Colombia’s Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation to enhance collaboration in artificial intelligence (AI), data analytics, and innovation. The two entities signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Abu Dhabi, outlining a shared commitment to advancing technology and knowledge exchange across sectors like smart cities, energy transition, climate action, and more.
The MoU was signed by Thomas Pramotedham, CEO of Presight, and Ángela Yesenia Olaya Requene, Colombia’s Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation. The agreement will enable joint research and development, facilitating seminars and conferences to encourage interaction and collaboration among institutions in both countries. It also prioritizes technology transfer, aiming to expedite the adoption of AI and big data within Colombia’s public and private sectors.
This strategic collaboration aligns with Colombia’s ambitions to develop smart cities, particularly in cities like Medellín and Bogotá, and to advance its bioeconomy goals. Mr. Pramotedham described the partnership as a “milestone” in promoting research and innovation in Colombia and Latin America, emphasizing the potential of AI and big data to address pressing global issues. Ms. Olaya Requene underscored the partnership’s significance for strengthening UAE-Colombia ties, positioning Colombia as a regional hub for ethical, sustainable, and clean-energy-oriented AI development.
For Presight, this partnership represents a crucial step in its international expansion, while for Colombia, it reinforces its emerging role as a major player in Latin America’s tech landscape.
