Pretty Liverpool caf੠serving ‘Instagrammable' breakfasts and ‘perfect' poached eggs
These days it’s all about Instagrammable breakfasts that not only taste good, but look good too, and SASS café on Tithebarn St has got it perfected.
The café opened its doors last year and has been dubbed as ‘Liverpool’s prettiest café/restaurant’ since. Boasting over 29k followers on Instagram, it’s safe to say coffee lovers are big fans of the pink floral interior and exterior.
I decided to take a trip to the café and try out their food to see what all the fuss is about, and to put it bluntly, I was impressed. I’ve walked past this café countless times and been drawn to its loud, floral branding with bright pink letters - but did the food match up to the vibe?
First things first, this place is very pink. Perfect for a pink lover like me, but not necessarily everybody's cup of tea (or coffee!) Filled with pretty flower walls, pink décor, neon lights and marble white tables, you really do feel like you’ve stepped into a café that’s perfect for Instagram.

But let’s first talk about the drink, because for me, the beverage choices were the real stars of the show. The ‘Instagrammable lattes’ are priced at a steep £7.50, with a range of different varieties on offer.
From the ‘Emerald Matcha Latte’ to the ‘Arura Latte’ described as a “sweet strawberry milk topped with all the goodness from our blue butterfly pea matcha, served with a shot of espresso on the side.” I rather bravely went for the 'Emerald Latte' with green matcha powder and honey, because I really wanted to try something different. But I quickly learned that I don’t like matcha.
The coffee looked absolutely beautiful with a pretty edible purple flower placed on top, plenty of colour, and lots of froth. I was told by the waitress that the coffee comes separately because it “ruins how it looks” which I absolutely loved - anything for the 'gram, after all!

My food arrived incredibly quickly, and it looked so good I almost didn’t want to eat it. It looked so pretty, with gorgeously fluffy poached eggs, neatly placed smoked salmon and once again, a cute purple edible flower. Read More...
