Project to Donate Bulgarian Art to Centre Pompidou Resumes after 2 Years
The project to donate contemporary Bulgarian art to the National Georges Pompidou Centre of Art and Culture in Paris has been renewed after a two-year hiatus dictated by the COVID pandemic and the change of the Centre's director, the Bulgarian Arts and Culture Foundation (BACF) reported.
The current director of the Centre Pompidou, Xavier Rey, has officially confirmed his interest in continuing the project and will arrive in Bulgaria on February 15. On the same day, guests can visit the National Gallery (the Palace) to see Rey deliver a lecture on modern art museums, which will focus on topics such as art collections, funding and audience development.
