Real Estate Investment: What are the advantages for Tunisians residing abroad?
The excitement of Tunisians residing abroad for real estate is still topical. Supported by the various offers of public and private organizations, Tunisians around the world offer themselves a pied-à-terre in their country of origin.
In this sense, Tunisia encourages investments, particularly in relation to the stone sector. This is why the government has put in place a number of tax advantages for the diaspora wishing to invest in real estate:
Conversely, for those residing in Tunisia, TREs benefit from a fixed fee on each page of the contract (30 DT / page) by paying only 1% of the value of the property purchased when registering with the Office National of Landed Property.
The conditions to benefit from this advantage:
· The transaction must be with consideration
· The property must be already built (and not agricultural land)
· You must have lived abroad for at least two years before the date of signing the contract
On the contract side, below are the various documents requested:
Photocopy of all passport pages.
Border movement sheet.
A copy of the residence card.
A copy of the contract.
A copy of the consular registration card.
A copy of the Swift transfer.
A request for an investment sheet (from the central bank).
