Rwandans anticipating the upcoming release of romantic film “Sacred Love”
Rwandans are eagerly awaiting the release of the romantic drama "Sacred Love," a film that promises to blend entertainment with meaningful social commentary. Directed by Israel Dusabimana, the movie delves into complex themes such as mutual infidelity, societal and religious expectations, and the true foundations of marriage—respect, understanding, and love.
The plot follows Benjamin, a Swedish construction worker, as he navigates a love story that spans continents, taking him from Nepal to Somalia. Despite differences in religion, ethnicity, and skin color, Benjamin marries Francoise, defying societal norms and illustrating that love can overcome barriers.
The characters, portrayed by Rwandan teacher and musician Kotecha Idee (also known as Morgan) and Tanzanian businesswoman and actress Hannan Halifa (Nana), add a personal touch to the film. Nana has previously appeared as a video vixen in several hit songs, bringing her experience to the film.
Dusabimana, known for films like "Indoto" and "Agahinda ka Liza," is expected to deliver yet another compelling story with "Sacred Love," which will be produced in English and is set for release in late December. The film's exploration of romance, drama, and cultural dynamics has already generated significant buzz among Rwandan audiences.
