Samsung Galaxy S9 to be revealed on February 25 at special 'Unpacked' event in Barcelona

Samsung is continuing its tradition of unveiling a new flagship phone in the days ahead of the Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona.
The South Korean company has sent out a special invitation teasing the release of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S9 - which is sure to be one of the biggest Android smartphone releases of 2018.
We've known for a while that Samsung would reveal its new phone at the conference, but now the date has been confirmed as February 25, 2018.
The event will kick off at 5pm GMT on February 25 and will likely run for a couple of hours. As ever, Samsung will likely live stream the entire event over the web.
There's not much to be gleaned from the invite except that the new phone will focus on upgraded camera performance.
It shows a purple number 9 along with the tagline "The Camera. Reimagined."
Rumours and leaks surrounding the phone have appeared on the web in the last few months and given us an idea of what to expect.
Samsung will likely transpose the dual-lens camera from the Galaxy Note 8 into the plus-sized version of the Galaxy S9.
Evidence also suggests the company is relocating the fingerprint scanner.
The image (above) allegedly shows the Galaxy S9 and larger Galaxy S9+ and was first shared around Chinese social media before being picked up by the wider tech press.
The premium new phone is set to go head-to-head with Apple's £999 iPhone X .
Last year's Samsung Galaxy S8 was unveiled at MWC 2017 and went on sale in April. Chances are that the Galaxy S9 will follow the same pattern.
