Taiwan's National Palace Museum extends hours
Taiwan's National Palace Museum (NPM) has announced extended hours for both its northern and southern branches, remaining open until 6 p.m. daily throughout August, except on Mondays. This initiative is intended to provide visitors with a respite from the summer heat and an opportunity to explore the museum’s extensive collections.
Northern Branch Highlights
Spotlight on National Treasures: Featuring Ma Lin’s renowned Song Dynasty painting “Candlelit Nighttime Excursion.”
The Emperors’ Moving Gardens—Flowers Paintings from the Qing Dynasty Court: A special exhibit delving into the floral artistry of Qing Dynasty imperial gardens.

Southern Branch Highlights
Water Show: Hosting Taiwan’s longest water show with performances every 15 minutes from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
