TELUS Commits $65.5 Billion to Enhance Connectivity in Ontario and Western Canada
TELUS, a prominent telecommunications company, has recently unveiled its ambitious plan to invest a staggering sum of C$65.5 billion in the pursuit of bolstering connectivity in Western Canada and Ontario. This significant announcement encompasses three major investments: C$19 billion dedicated to Alberta, C$18.5 billion allocated to British Columbia, and an astounding C$28 billion earmarked for Ontario.
The primary objective of these substantial investments is to construct and enhance network infrastructure, bolster operational capacities, and optimize spectrum allocation across these provinces over the next five years. These developments are in line with TELUS's overarching commitment to invest a total of C$81 billion in Canada by 2027.
TELUS's unwavering dedication to advancing connectivity is exemplified by its extensive track record of investment. Since the turn of the millennium, the company has already injected over C$57 billion into Alberta, C$59 billion into British Columbia, and an impressive C$62 billion into Ontario. These cumulative investments have surpassed the C$200 billion mark on a national scale.
