This weekend, enthusiasts of popular culture have an unmissable rendezvous with the highly anticipated tenth edition of the Hanami Fest. For the first time, the event will be held in Luque, taking place at Club Balderrama (Avenida Gral. Aquino c/ Curupayty). The festivities will span the entire weekend, from Saturday to Sunday, starting at 11:00 am. General admission tickets are priced at G. 20,000, while children under 10 years of age accompanied by an adult can enter for free.
Continuing its tradition from previous editions, the Hanami Fest will offer a wide array of activities and attractions, immersing attendees in the vibrant world of anime, cosplay, K-pop, comics, and video games. Additionally, the event will feature various exhibitions and showcases, providing a platform for fans of all ages to display their talents.
One of the highlights of the festival is the cosplay contest, where enthusiasts will showcase their creativity and skill by portraying their beloved characters. Prizes will be awarded to those who demonstrate outstanding craftsmanship and ingenuity in their costumes. The first-place winner will receive G. 1,000,000, while the second-place winner will be granted G. 500,000, along with a G. 300,000 voucher from one of the contest sponsors.
Furthermore, a K-pop dance competition will take place, showcasing the talents of participants across different age groups, including soloists, duos, and dance groups. The top three winners in this category will be rewarded with cash prizes and vouchers of equivalent value.
Within the venue, attendees will find a merchandise area and a gastronomic section, hosting numerous booths offering a diverse range of anime, comic, and video game-related products, including figures, accessories, t-shirts, and electronics. An extensive selection of K-pop items will also be available.
In addition to these activities, the festival will feature a volleyball competition with exclusive prizes, trivia games, karaoke sessions, cosplay events tailored for children, a designated area for dancing, live shows and performances, a makeup workshop, dubbing sessions, a community and fandom space, exhibition booths, a medieval-themed area, outdoor gaming sessions, and a dedicated area for video game enthusiasts.
