The Marquis's wedding show is over! But there is another surprise
At first glance, this year's Wedding Show failed at all. While the second series rolled in Friday prime time last year, this year's sequel did not build on this success. In a way, Marquis is to blame. Enhanced by the success of the duo, she filmed the largest and longest wedding series to date. She engaged the most couples, up to five, there were ten episodes, instead of the classic eight. One would expect that television would not leave the show in a slot in which it had scored in full in the past. It didn't happen.
Unexpectedly, the wedding was moved at first sight to the Tuesday prime, where the Jojkár Hospital reigns for uncompromisingly long months. In recent months, this medical drama has decimated all the programs that Marquis has tried to oppose. Another victim was the bridal reality show. Television did not change the broadcast, even after Horná Dolná burned down in Friday's window. As a result, Markiza often had to come to terms with below-average results.
While the second series was very popular and the aired episodes easily crossed the 400,000 mark, the latest episodes had trouble reaching the 300,000 audience. Viewership regularly ranged between 5-6% in the commercial target, which is two percentage points less than last year.
