The Sax Fest Solo competition doubles the number of participants to 140

The tenth edition of the Andorra Sax Fest will be held from March 31 to April 8, 2023 with twice as many participants for the "Solo Sax" International Solo Saxophone Contest of Andorra, as reported by the organization in a communicated Thus, this event will certainly have the participation of more than 27 different nationalities: 35 from Spain, 25 from Japan, 15 from France, 8 from the United States, 7 from Russia and 6 from Italy, among the most prominent.
This year a pre-selection was made on the basis of videos in which the candidates showed their mastery of the instrument and interpretive abilities. In this sense, the competition has received 185 applications of which 140 have been chosen for their musical level. For this reason, the number of participants has been increased from the 70 registered in previous editions to 140 and the competition has been extended by one more day, the first round of which will last three days from April 1 to 3.
On the other hand, the organization highlights that on Friday 21 October registrations also opened for the youngest competition, the Solo Youth Sax, which will take place on 6 April 2023, and the sale of the master classes that has gathered a good rate of registrations and sales. Read More...
