Uzbekistan’s National Hockey team to compete in World Championship
The Uzbekistan national ice hockey team is set to make its debut in the 2025 Ice Hockey World Championship, competing in Division IV of the tournament. The team will face teams from Armenia, Iran, Kuwait, Malaysia, and Indonesia in the division, with matches scheduled to take place in Armenia from April 13 to April 19.
In addition to the senior team, Uzbekistan's U18 team will also make its debut in international competition, competing in Group III of Division III. The junior team will face opponents from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Turkmenistan, Thailand, South Africa, and Luxembourg, with matches scheduled to be held in Bangkok from February 28 to March 6.
This marks a significant milestone for Uzbekistan's ice hockey program, as the country continues to develop and grow its presence in the sport. The Uzbekistan Ice Hockey Federation is likely to be eager to see how its teams perform on the international stage, and the experience gained from competing in the World Championship will be invaluable for the country's hockey players.
