West Australian boxer Alex Winwood will fight former world champion Tibo Monabesa for the WBC International light flyweight title in Perth on March 3.
Born in Bunbury but now based on the Gold Coast under the tutelage of Angelo Hyder, Winwood had the perfect start to his professional career when he stopped Mario Bunda in the second round at Metro City in November.
“I’m delighted to be moving fast with my career as I feel I have the ability to do that. I’ve served my apprentice in the amateurs, I’ve boxed elite fighters, now it’s my time to shine. I want to beat Jeff Fenech’s legendary record as Australia’s fastest world champion,” Winwood said. Read More…
