Knock-off WhatsApp clones are really popular and for good reason. They bring features that the Meta-owned platform doesn’t have but this is changing.
WhatsApp is revamping its ephemeral Status feature with new updates.
Status Profile Rings for New Updates
WhatsApp will now show up Status updates on your profile picture in the Chats section with a ring so you never miss any. The Status ring will also appear in your contact info and group participant lists.
Visual Link Previews on Status
WhatsApp will now increase the transparency of the links being shared on the Status feature. The app will show a visual preview of the content being shared in the link so you know what to expect when you click that link.
Voice Status
I don’t know why it took this long for WhatsApp to bring this feature but we’re glad it’s finally here. The popular chat app will now allow you to record voice messages up to 30 seconds to share on Status.
