Zapped from the new government: Republican Synergie sounds the revolt
“I do not accept that my party, Macky 2012, or Benno bokk yaakaar imposes on me how I should govern. I speak with conviction. A government is an instrument” threatened the Head of State. But this alert does not seem to be heard in the power camp since the Republican Synergy movement notes with regret the absence of the Macky 2012 coalition in the new government team.
“It is a fact that no political logic could justify. Indeed, if we take into account the main criteria that guide the composition of the entire government team, that is to say legitimacy, loyalty, skills and representativeness, we can cite many leaders of Macky 2012 who, not only , are eligible but much more deserving than members of other coalitions who have never left the government,” reads a press release from the movement.
Through the voice of Mohamed Moustapha Diagne, Synergie Républicaine says it refuses to comply with the fait accompli. “We inform the national opinion that Synergie Républicaine as well as parties and member movements of the Group of early allies (Graphe) are in the process of organizing themselves to provide an effective political response and definitively restore the dignity of the first companions of Macky Sall”, they threaten.
