Netflix is now on Sky Q, here's how to get it and how much it costs

If you have Sky Q then good news, you can now access your Netflix subscription through your set top box. The new option launched today and is available to everyone with a Sky Q subscription.
Many people have been waiting a long time for Sky to add support for Netflix. For obvious reasons Sky has resisted, prefering to only offer its own service.
But a deal has been done and you can now add your Netflix account to your sky box with some simple steps.
As is often the case with Sky services there's a little bit of confusion around what the company is offering. So here's a breakdown of how it all works.
When can I watch Netflix on my Sky Q Box?
From today you can use the Netflix app on Q or subscribe to Netflix through Sky.
How much is Netflix on Sky Q?
If you already have a Netflix account then you can add it to your Sky Q box for free.
If you don't have Netflix already then Sky has a bundle deal that offers both Sky's own Box Sets as well as Netflix's HD service. It's £10 per month and you'll be able to use Netflix on two devices at the same time.
That's a £3 saving on the combined price of both Netflix and Sky Box Sets.
What's the difference between signing up through Sky and using my old Netflix account?
When you sign up for the Netflix package through Sky you'll get a different experience. You'll see Netflix shows in the same way Sky shows are presented. It's a more cohesive experience.
If you have a Netflix account you can use the Sky Q Netflix app to sign in. You'll then be able to start this when you want to watch Netflix.
If you have a Netflix account and want to use the full experience then you can opt to do that too for the £10 per month fee.
Will I get to keep my Netflix profiles and viewing preferences?
Yes, Sky will import this if you opt to switch to its package. If you don't switch your Netflix will remain exactly as it does now.
Can I get 4K Netflix on Sky Q?
Yes, you'll need to be a Sky Q 2TB box and a subscription to Sky Q Experience, which is the company's UHD/4K service.
Can I watch Netflix from the Sky Q app?
No. It's possible Sky might add this option in the future though.
Does this work on Sky+ or SkyHD?
No. You'll need to upgrade if you really want the service to appear on your Sky box.
