Abstract art contributes to the achievement of the SDGs
The young man, despite being an employee of the company, uses his spare time to draw those pictures which, in addition to enabling him to fulfill his passion to move that talent and teach others, also earns himself an income and thus achieves goal number 1 of the SDGs, eradicating poverty.
Being a resident of Dar es Salaam, the commercial capital of Tanzania, Mrs. Kwetukia has spoken to Maria Kabora of the United Nations news center, UNIC, Dar es Salaam and said that she has been using art to bring about positive change in her community since she started in 2016 at the age of 23.
With the number 1 goal of eradicating poverty, Mrs. Kwetukia participates in implementing goal number 8 of decent jobs and economic growth.
"Often the pictures I draw have different meanings" said Mrs. Happening while talking to UNIC Dar es Salaam.

Showing one of the pictures he drew, he says "I have drawn this picture showing the forest while the sun is setting. This is a gift to my friend, thanking him for being there during a period in my life that I saw as a thick forest, so he was like the sun to comfort me, think of me and give me hope that life goes on".
Where did he learn painting?
He learned it in school, not online. He says it was not easy because he invested a lot of his time to learn and be different from others so that his work attracts customers not only in Tanzania but also in various countries around the world.
