Academedia increases profits
More students, increased turnover and greater operating profit: SEK 1.2 billion compared, SEK 50 million more than the year before. This is how Academedia summed up its last operating year when today, Tuesday, they presented the financial statements for their broken financial year, the academic year 2021/2022.
The group continues to grow abroad, 16 new preschools have opened in Germany and Academedia now also has operations in a new country: the Netherlands, where it acquired two preschools.
Academedia will now also be active in a new educational area. After the reporting period, the company has entered into an agreement to buy the game training company Futuregames and the goal is to become "the leading international player", writes Academedia's president and CEO Marcus Strömberg in the financial statements.
The dividend to shareholders is proposed to be SEK 1.75 per share, the same as last year.
Regarding the current independent school debate, Marcus Strömberg states that the proposals presented by the government have not received support in the Riksdag.
