This is how flexible education transforms and updates knowledge
Not all human beings learn in the same way. The paths for the construction of knowledge differ. The education of the past did not have the same tools as today and has not only made us rethink the world, but has meant important changes.
Based on the needs of the people, students and graduates of the same institution, today the Universidad de los Andes has been concerned with designing courses and programs that promote interdisciplinarity and the flexibility that they propose in their mission.
“Our courses and programs are aimed at children, youth and adults of all ages with the aim that they can develop specific skills throughout life. We have different alternatives that allow acquiring new knowledge and skills according to the needs of the people. In our portfolio we find different options, for example, professional updating courses, arts, sciences and humanities, well-being, languages, among others”, the spokespersons of the Universidad de los Andes point out.
Thus, taking a course on finance for entrepreneurs, another on the Insolvency Regime, learning to program in Python and accessing an entire offer of more than 700 programs a year regardless of age, is possible through the Continuing Education Department of the University of the Andes.
A range of options
When it comes to flexibility, Universidad de los Andes offers several possibilities. These have not only been designed for those who are looking for a postgraduate or undergraduate degree, but also for parents who want their children to learn in a fun way, for older adults and for people who want to update, complement their studies or acquire a new knowledge or skill.
In this sense, the university offers different courses, workshops, programs, professional certifications and MasterTracks® of interest to those who seek to improve their professional profile in the short term.
Within this varied offer, interested persons will find extension courses that are undergraduate or postgraduate subjects taught by professors with high professional and academic experience. These, in addition, can be homologated and allow advancing part of these programs, if the student decides to take them at the Universidad de los Andes.
As for professional credentials and certifications , they last an average of 2 to 4 months. These allow the person to acquire a digital badge that certifies a competence that can also be verified online. Also, in some cases they can be homologated in postgraduate programs. Read More...
