Another edition of the Caracas Comic Con is coming in November
What excites the fans of Caracas and all of Venezuela? Attend the most important meeting in the country: The Caracas Comic Con. We could already see their happy faces in the last edition after a long pause due to the pandemic.
It is that fans of comics, anime, games, fantasy and science fiction need this space that has already become an almost obligatory pilgrimage: a weekend where they can escape for a moment from the harsh reality and express the love they have for these characters and hobbies with people with the same tastes.
Daniela Paolillo, Director and Founder of this fun event, tells us: “Being a 'geek' is cool now,” Paolillo tells us. "It certainly wasn't 'cool' when I was a teenager, but now with the incredible strength of the MCU, Star Wars, video games, Asian culture, it's become popular among young people and adults."
One of the main attractions will be the visit from Mexico of Romina Marroquín Payró, known for doing the voices of Anna (Frozen), Giselle (Enchanted), Rapunzel (series), Vi (League of Legends) and more. On Saturday, November 5, she will be offering a beautiful concert to all attendees. Also from Brazil will be Daniel HDR, a professional comic book artist who has worked for Marvel, DC and others, as well as storyboarding the upcoming Black Adam movie. The national talent will be represented by Astrid Fernández, voice of Wonder Woman in the Justice League series, among others.
Another important milestone will be the premiere of the physical comic volume of Santa Sofía, made in Venezuela by the recently inaugurated publishing house Lygno Productions. "We want to take advantage of all our reach to promote national initiatives and to finish creating a stable comic industry in Venezuela." Those interested in the presale of this volume ($10) can find more information on the Lygno website.
But this will not be all! There will also be shows, lots of shops, more special guests, fan clubs, games and attractions. Of course, the "cosplayers" will not be missing, fans who make and wear the costumes of their favorite characters. Read More…
