With more works winning translations and world awards each day, Brazilian literature has proven its enormous potential to produce commercial successes, as shown by the results generated in the last year by the publishing houses which participate in Brazilian Publishers — a partnership between the Brazilian Book Chamber (CBL) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil).
With that in mind, we selected the five most sold Brazilian books in Brazil in 2022, according to the PublishNews ranking, a portal specialized in news and information about the book industry, based on the sum of sales of all consulted bookstores. The titles in this articles were selected from two lists: fiction and non-fiction. The following aspects were also taken into account for this selection: works already awarded in Brazil or abroad, as well as their presence in our Books and Rights Catalogue.
