Border rents rise after reopening announcement
The president of the Real Estate Chamber of Táchira, Régal Labrador, affirmed that since the announcement of the reopening of the border, rents for commercial and industrial real estate in this area have increased significantly.
“Now is the time to buy, already speaking a little more in terms of investment. It is time to invest and buy because a rebound is expected. Demand has increased approximately 30%. As long as this has a balance with supply, there will come a time when prices, due to natural behavior, will begin to adjust upwards," Labrador explained in an interview for the 2+2 program on Unión Radio.
He also indicated that they expect an increase in sales and rentals of residential real estate. That will depend on the progress of the process of reopening the border.
Earlier this month , residents of San Antonio and Ureña requested that the border crossing between Venezuela and Colombia be open 24 hours a day, taking into account that in these towns of Táchira there are no care centers with an intensive care unit.
According to an article published in the Colombian newspaper La Opinion , when an emergency occurs, patients must go to care centers in Cúcuta or Villa del Rosario. Currently the pass is enabled from 6:00 am to 9:00 pm. Read More…
