Caf unveils new logo for Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire
The Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) has recently revealed the official emblem for the upcoming CAF Africa Cup of Nations, scheduled to take place in Côte d’Ivoire from January 2024. This represents the first time in more than ten years that CAF has given the Afcon identity a fresh appearance. It signifies a significant milestone for the most prominent sporting event in Africa. The symbolic logo pays tribute to the cultural richness of Côte d’Ivoire and the entire African continent, capturing the essence of African football and the magnificence of the host nation.
The Afcon edition in Côte d’Ivoire will commence on January 13, concluding on February 11, 2024. The inaugural match is set to be held at the remarkable Stade Olympic Alassane Ouattara. Regarding the importance of this emblem, Veron Mosengo-Omba, the General Secretary of CAF, expressed, "The unveiling of the Caf identity marks an exciting milestone in our journey towards the tournament in 2024. We are aware that we are getting nearer and nearer to the big moment in January next year."
