The exhibition Miradas en el puerto, by the plastic artist Susan Hurtado Muñoz, was inaugurated at the Teodoro Casana Robles Municipal Public Library, of the Provincial Municipality of Callao.
“In my oil paintings I try to convey through the eyes of the portrayed children. They are feelings of the soul. I want the viewer to stop and feel watched. I want to touch people with the looks of my works”, explains the artist from Chalaca.
His oil paintings are titled "Andean Innocence", "Urqu Warma" (Child of the mountains), "Ismat" (purity), "Akua" (carved on canvas), "Kokou" (the color of the soul), "Ytuya" ( strength) and “Challenge”.
The exhibition is part of the celebrations for the 186th anniversary of Callao's coastal autonomy. Read More…
