Cameroon: Rampant power failure discussed in the National Assembly
Honorable Salamana questioned the Minister of Water and Energy Gaston Eloundou Essomba on the constant electricity disruption .
Two weeks after the start of the ordinary session of March, the occupants of the Lower House of Parliament began this day, the second part of their constitutional mission, namely the control of government action.
At this end, during the plenary session chaired by the Honorable Cavaye Yeguie Djibril, the deputies gave room for oral questions.
To open the floor, the Minister of Water and Energy explains the untimely power cuts in Cameroon, one of the hot and recurring topics in the National Assembly.
Sitting opposite the minister is the Honorable Salamana Amadou Ali II, Member of the Cameroon National Salvation Front FSNC, Diamaré Center constituency, Far North region.
“what prevents you from providing the same efforts as those you provided during the African Cup of Nations, AFCON to solve the problem of power cuts in Cameroon” , said the deputy of the Salamana nation.
In response to this concern, which remains that of Cameroonians, Gaston Eloundou Essomba presented the ongoing projects in the electricity sector. These include the commissioning of the Maroua solar power plant and the interconnection of the North and South interconnected networks.
